• I believe this product is the newest generation. They still have gen 2 on the website but the price varies depending on the generation. This information should be located under the product description.

• I received the newest model when I purchased it online just before Christmas, but I don't think it specified a specific model in the order or shipping confirmation. They may just send what they have on hand.
