If your existing bulbs are the standard A19 screw-in base then the Philips Hue bulbs should work fine. The Philips Hue A19 bulbs simply screw into existing A19 bases. The Philips Hue bridge communicates with the bulbs wirelessly so no wiring necessary except plug the Philips Hue bridge into your WiFi router and configure according to the instructions.

The standard color-whites don’t fill the can light receptacles properly, but they do work. These bulbs pull very little wattage and so, won’t overload your circuit unless you install dozens of them into one breaker, and they’re designed to be used in nearly any in home light outlet without being overloaded unless they were improperly wired.
