• You will need the Phillips Hue Hub. The bulb itself will not connect to the amazon echo.

• Yes, after you setup your bulbs with the hue app, you can have Amazon Echo "discover" your hue bulbs. you can then tell her to turn them on/off or adjust the brightness. "Alexa, turn the lights to 25%" etc.
