Not sure what you mean by enclosed fixture but it works in any standard light fixture.

Please try again later.Almost all wireless 'smart' bulbs warn that using in an enclosed (especially metal) fixture can cause problems because of interfering with the wireless signal. I just installed some of these in metal recessed ceiling fixtures and they work fine, so "your mileage may vary" but I've had luck so far.

Please try again later.Although the bulbs will fit (screw into) any standard light socket and apparently some people have them installed in enclosed fixtures, I wouldn't feel comfortable telling others to use the bulbs like this. In the information sheet Phillips includes in the packaging for the Hue bulbs, it clearly states under Warnings & Cautions "not for use in totally enclosed or recessed fixtures". Good luck!

I don't foresee any issues using it within an enclosure, just as long as that enclosure doesn't disturb the wifi signal transmitting to the Philips Hue Hub (but that's not likely to happen).
