It uses an E26 socket It works with 110-130 Volts So it does not work with 220 V Lamp

It also requires a Hue Hub so you will need to buy a starter kit to use this add on bulb. You might contact Phillips to see if they make a 220v system. Yes you can control the light with your cell phone app from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection.
