Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since these are LED bulbs, they consume VASTLY less electricity than an incandescent light bulb. They also generate dramatically less heat, so they are safe to use in most applications, including the one you are describing. (The exception would be in wet environments-check the manufacturer's recommendations for wet applications.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work in any lamp, we have two in lamps. However if your lamp says use 40 watt only, don't use a 60 watt, it could burn lamp shade. I don't know if they have these bulbs in 40 watt, you can check.
