Yes. The only drawback is that if they are switched off manually, you must switch them on manually as well. You might consider the Hue dimmer switch which is basically a wireless remote control, or the Hue wall switch module which installs inside the electrical box behind the existing switch allowing it to function as a remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will need to buy the phillips hue wireless switch. It has a few preset colors and I believe can be programed to custom colors. The wireless switch works in conjunction with the regular wall switch used for power of the lights and needs to be connected to the hue bridge.

In the app there is a setting allowing you to choose the default color and brightness the light will turn on to (default is standard white). You can even allow it to remember and use the last used color and brightness.
