No, the spot lights don’t require the bridge to use you are able to use Bluetooth.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.TL;DR: No. Longer answer: If you want to control colors, dim, create scenes, turn the bulbs on/off, etc. remotely, you need a Hue-compatible hub. Along with the Philips bridge, you'll find many hubs that can connect to these Hue lights natively - SmartThings, Hubitat, and Home Assistant as examples. Many still recommend connecting Hue bulbs to a Hue bridge, and integrating the bridge with your home automation platform of choice - this maintains all Hue functionality and is less complicated than connecting bulbs to a 3rd-party platform in most cases. That said, I ditched the Hue bridge long ago and use Home Assistant without issue.
