Yes you can i have mine set to automatically turn on at 10p and they then turn off at 2a. You can also have the multi color bulbs put side as well for example during the holiday season we use our hue lights to mesh in with are xmas light color to give the house more of a pop

The control of these bulbs is all through apps , and each app does slightly diffrent tasks. There are several apps that can turn these on and off and change color depending on what the situation is you want them to respond to. The hue app works like light switch with a dimmer and a color wheel. Also able to match colors from photos or sections of photos, stock or personal. And has "timer funtion" for times of day or sunset extc.
