“I have 4 ceiling fixtures, and each take 3 bulbs. Thinking about loading them up, each with one of the color bulbs for mood lighting, and the others with the much cheaper white bulbs. Anyone try something like this? Thoughts?”

It's better to go all Hue. There's many Apps to give the bulls an old fashioned look. I've been use my bulbs for almost two years. Worth every dollar.

I have 3 Hue bulbs installed on it and I switched two of them to the traditional yellowish incandescent hue and left the 3rd as a mood light to test the light outcome. It's just not the same man. Go big and upgrade all three bulbs per fixture to mood light or go home.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We actually did this! It works amazing. The bulbs are so brilliant that you can't even tell the white ones are one (if they are maxed out).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can do that for sure but the effects are better if you use two or more. The color gets washed out with the other, all white bulbs.
