• No, this unit only operates on a 120V connection.

• Depend on where you buy. It doesn't work for 230v if you buy in US.

• The box says "no" - but I have successfully used the bulbs overseas in 220v without damage. It's on you if they blow, but they did work for me without problem... I am told that the non-color (white only) versions do not work outside U.S. power specs, but the color ones do seem to. The Friends of Hue stuff (Iris, lightstrips, etc.) have dual-voltage, auto-switching power supplies, so there are no issues there.

• Are you sure it doesn't work? Did you try it? The first gen 110v US market bulbs did work on 220v even though they were marked as 110v only. I know this because I did it with several bulbs successfully.
