No, it would have to be plugged into the main strip light, as this is only an add on.

No... well technically you could but unless you REALLY know what you're doing... (so for almost everyone), the answer is NO! These are extensions to the Hue Lightstrip Plus 6.6m piece. The extend the lightstrip up to around 32 feet! I did my kitchen cabinet toe-kicks and the project turned out great!

Nope. Only works with the Phillips Hue light strip which requires AC current.

No, this has its own power supply, you can find other lightstrips designed for PCs

No. You need to plug extension in to one of the hue light strips which in turn needs to be connected to wall outlet. If you just want the pic to shine use a simple cheap 15 dollar led strip light which can take usb connection.
