Download the Phillips hue app and follow directions to add the lights. Make sure you have a philips bridge set up before you try to add the lights.

Did you download the Philips Hue Android app? Do you have the Philips Hue bridge 2nd Gen bridge? The 2nd Gen bridge may be required for the Philips Hue Lightstrip Extension. It should be very easy to connect. Call Philips Hue tech support- they have excellent tech support.

You need to have a Philips hue hub which will control your lights and is managed in your phone via the Philips hue app. You do not set up through wifi

Check the Wi-Fi settings in the router and ensure that the security settings and protocols match those on the phone.
