“I recently bought the ambient lights and the hue bridge. I am trying to set the lights so they sync with my tv and show the colors my tv shows. Is there any other separate parts I need to be able to sync the lights to the TV?”

You need the Hue sync to connect your lights to your tv. You can use a computer and the download from the hue website, but this is a more difficult process requiring your computer to be connected to you tv. In short get a hue sync, but be prepared for issues.

It's a separate box that is an HDMI pass through, so keep in mind if the content you are trying to do the light sync with is built into a smart tv and not passing through this HDMI box you can't do the light sync. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The easiest way is to purchase a hue hdmi sync box. Problem with this device is it does not support HDR10 signal unless you are using an apple tv streamer (that is what I learned). But it is very cool and works very well.
