• Yes, you'll need a bridge for these. They'll turn on in a nice warm white light when you plug them in, but you won't have a way to control brightness, color, etc., without a bridge.

• you need a pc or mac to sync to if you want the full effects. Otherwise, yes you'll need a bridge. Buy a kit, better value.

• Like with ANY Hue product, if you want the actual full use of it, you need the bridge. If you just want a white light, then you don't need a bridge, but then,,,, why buy this? (Hope that makes sense)
