Wifi. The hub is connect with cat5 cable to the router.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The bulbs communicate with the hub (and vice versa) via WiFi only, no Bluetooth. As for the hub unit connecting to your internet, unless I missed an option in setting up, I understood that it HAS to be plugged physically into your modem/router. So hopefully you have an extra port to do that, plus the hub also has to be plugged into a power source so make sure you've got an extra socket in your surge protector, too. Mine came with both required cords, though, so it was pretty simple (other than having MORE cords to organize, and making sure I had a place to set the hub nearby, which can also be mounted to a wall if you want it to be).
