Yes you can...that's what I did. One thing to note is that the light won't come on immediately like your current light fixture does. There's a second or two delay after you flip the switch. I'm planning on replacing the switch with a dimmer switch so maybe that will correct the delay.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will work with an existing switch; however you won't be able to dim or adjust the color temperature without connecting it to a wifi network and Hue Bridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. As long as the light is “on” in the Hue app it can be controlled by a wall switch. (Cannot be a dimmer switch though. I had to change the existing dimmer with a regular switch)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can; however, you lose some of the functionality, such as being able to control it via the hue app, Apple Home, or other third party app, if the switch is off. It’ll operate like a regular light if you want to use a wall switch. I removed my wall switches wired the lights to always be on, then used a blank wall plate that I affixed the hue dimmer switch. That way, you still have a “switch” on the wall so you don’t need to use your phone constantly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, technically it can be controlled by a light switch like a normal light, however, if that is your goal, I might suggest just trying a Phillips hue bulb by itself instead of the whole fixture or maybe just a regular light in general would be much more cost effective in the manner it sounds you are trying to use it for. These types of lights/fixtures are generally geared towards none-switch type applications like an app on your smartphone/tablet or vocally using an Alexa or Google home smart speaker.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Absolutely you can use it as a normal everyday fixture with a simple wall switch. So go ahead and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I do not have the Hue Bridge and I can turn this light on and off utilizing the wall switch. It's simple to install and looks great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yeah it will work with a wired wall switch. I have mine connected to a dimmer, but a regular wall switch will also work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
