Yes they are flood lamps. We are using them in our kitchen. We have vaulted ceilings. Im sure they would work as regular bulbs, but would be bulkier in you lamp.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.These are more for down Light canister type light fixtures, they are directional. Not really good for lamps, and they don't have the brightness of a true flood lights.

SO technically they would work in a lamp, but that is not really what they are made for. For regular lamps you would be at the same price or cheaper to get the A19 white bulbs i beleive
