Stick it on the wall, remove the baseplate, screw it to the wall....one things for sure, it don’t need no stinking box. OR, it’s even magnetic on the back, so stick it on the refrigerator. Pop out the actual remote, and carry it around in your pocket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This Hue switch is not wired, and would not be installed into a traditional switch box. You basically just affix it to your wall with the included 3M strips or screws. The switch part itself can actually be undocked from the wall plate backing which is actually a cradle, allowing you to carry it and use it remotely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Why would you want it in a box? It adheres to wherever you want it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No box needed. The switch is surface mounted and is very thin. No wires needed since it talks to the Hue bridge wirelessly and controls the Hue lights you configure it to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. This switch works through the bulbs, so you actually hardwire the fixture. The switch itself does not get wired.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No need! This switch is not hard-wired. It has an adhesive that sticks anywhere! No tools needed!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can install it anywhere. It uses sticky adhesive on the back and the remote sticks to it magnetically. It’s not like a standard wall switch.
