Pretty sure you can add up to 2 rooms. Click on the 3 dots up at the top right of the Hue app and go to accessory setup. select the dimmer switch (whatever you named it), In the next page below where you name it, click where it lets you add lights, rooms or zones and you can up to 2 rooms I believe. I only have one but it is indicating 1/2. Make sure the rooms are setup in the app as rooms. There may be another way but not that I am aware of.

If it is configured to control the living room lights, it will still control the living room lights when you carry it into the bedroom.
