You need the Hub to be able to work with HomeKit. The hub is what actually connects to HomeKit services. Your bulbs and switches that are hue branded go through the hub to be HomeKit compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it will not. Only Phillips products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish by controlling this directly with Apple Homekit or Home Pod, or vice-versa, controlling apple homekit or homepod with this. This is intended as a basic switch to control all your Philips Hue devices (bulbs, lighstrip, lamps, etc) - either to turn them on or off, dim them, or toggle thru 5 programmable settings, and that's it. If you wish, you can just directly control your Philips Hue lights with Apple HomeKit, that's what I did. There is no use having to daisy chain it thru this basic switch. And no, it cannot control other dimmable LED bulbs except Philips Hue light bulbs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No they will not. You need to have the hub. The apple home pod is more of the centralized station to control your smart items. You still have to utilize the necessary bridge that comes with Hue lights. Or you have to purchase one. No it only works with Hue light bulbs. If it worked with other smart light bulbs that would be awesome. Unfortunately they do not.
