this one has magnets and allows you to cycle through the scenes programed trough the app with each tap of the "ON" button.

Hello Version,

The new model and the old one both have the magnetic in the remote so it attaches to the mount. The magnets act as a dual role in holding the remove and holding the mount to the surface. The new one does allow to do 4 scenes or 4 different color temps like daylight, warm, etc. Hopefully, this was helpful. Thanks.
