this one has magnets and allows you to cycle through the scenes programed trough the app with each tap of the "ON" button.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Version, The new model and the old one both have the magnetic in the remote so it attaches to the mount. The magnets act as a dual role in holding the remove and holding the mount to the surface. The new one does allow to do 4 scenes or 4 different color temps like daylight, warm, etc. Hopefully, this was helpful. Thanks.
