Yes, you can control one light from multiple locations. In the hue app, when you set up the different devices, I.e. Remotes, you can choose the same bulb for multiple remotes and even select different scenes at each one.

As for controlling your lights from different locations, you can use your smart phone to control the lights from anywhere in the world using a data or wifi connection.
