There is a magnetic charger in the base of the glass powered by an electrical outlet that charges your toothbrush thru it's own magnetic mechanism in its base.

Hello! The glass itself does not have a power connection. It sits on top of the charging base. The charging base has a cable that connects directly to the power outlet. When you place the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9300 Rechargeable Toothbrush HX9903/65 in the glass, the base charges the toothbrush.
