Return it. Spent too much time trying to mess with it. Does not work at all with Microsoft 10. Must be a better product out there.

Please try again later.The dropped frames is normal because the dvd and the vhs has different frame rates and makes no change in the finished dvd.Even Roxio easy vhs to dvd drops frames,they just don't tell you.About the video being ahead of the sound,this what it seems like but is ok.Let me explain what I mean.Most of the time to burn a dvd you add the files and hit burn,but Dazzle captures on the fly,which means once you hit capture there is a 30 second delay between what the Dazzle is capturing and what is being sent to the video file on your computer.What you are hearing is 30 seconds behind the video because that is captured at a different rate then the video.When this is finished and burn a dvd or play the finished capture the sound will mesh with the video.I just turn the speakers off so I don;t hear the delay while I am doing the capture.Wait for the blue bar to finish loading the video and remember to delete the video in the Dazzle front page.the video file under your 'my computer' heading and the recycle bin after you burn the video to get back the hard drive disc space this process uses.I upgraded to a 1TB [1,000 GB} hard drive. About the computer shutting down,there are 3 reasons a computer would shut down 1.the cpu is overheating 2.too many widows or any windows open during the capture process{have Dazzle the only program running on your desktop} 3.psu{power supply unit } can't handle all computer processes and Dazzle running at the same time,the computer would shut down and reboot and when it overloaded with Dazzle it would do the same thing.If this sounds what is happening I would recommend upgrading the psu,750-800 watt/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check that you're using a USB 3 connection on your computer. Definitely recommend using USB 3 over a USB 2 connection. And connect the device cable directly into the PC USB 3 connector on your PC, and not through any attached hub, etc.
