“It comes with rca male to bare wire. It states I do not need converter. Do I tie in pre amp or are they saying I can just tie into the speaker wires right at the factory sub.”

Yes you can use a set of wire taps and tap into the factory speaker wires. The amp has built in converter that takes care of the signal. Be sure to get the polarity right!
