Q: QuestionI purchased the Pioneer GM-A4704 from BB. It has the automatic turn on built in that senses a signal from the HU. My factory receiver does not have a remote wire? Can I ignore connecting a remote wire and get the amp to turn on with the receiver?
Asked by McGregor.
- A:Answer If CH A left channel is connected correctly, the amplifier should turn on/off automatically when the headunit (HU) is powered on. However, this function may not work with all HUs, in that case, will use the blue system remote control wire. Finding a source that turns on with the HU is the challenge question. The most likely source would be a remote powered antenna, but not all vehicles are equipped with them.
