• It is not a true Pioneer TV. Pioneer left the TV/video manufacturing business about a decade ago. They sold the rights to their world-class plasma TVs to Panasonic at that time. Best Buy has now simply purchased the right to the name for two of their own TVs which they contract to some unidentified Chinese manufacturer. Ask BB to name the firm. So far they have not.

• Im not sure. From what i understand its a collaboration of the Pioneer name, Amazon, and Best Buy.
