I can’t answer that question but I do know for the dvd player to work on its screen itself the car has to be in park, will not play if the car is in gear or moving. That is their free distraction feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The installation manual says a rear video display can be connected. The issue may be getting it wired in. I purchased 5 different wire harnesses to connect the various gadgetry in my car (backup camera, USB port), without the rear display. You have to note that the stereo requires the parking brake (yes, stereo must be wired to the parking brake) to be applied in order to play DVDs on this unit. This may not apply to the rear display. The installation and user manual are available for download from the Pioneer website.
