Will my existing backup camera work through this ? null

Yes it will as long as your old one has the rca hook up.

My Subaru factory backup camera works with it. I haven’t messed with the settings but the grid is not on the screen by default. It shows up as a few colorful lines at the top left of the backup picture. If you touch the box with the lines, it overlays the grid lines onto the backup picture. There is probably a way to have them there permanently but I haven’t taken the time. Hope this information is helpful.
