“Why is the phone's bluetooth quality so poor? I can hardly hear the other person - they sound so far away like they're in a tunnel. I've checked for software updates and everything I can think of from the owner's manual, but nothing helps.”

It could be because the sound is from their end. If you’re using Bluetooth I recommend Apple CarPlay or android auto for your phone calls. I had the same issue with this radio and it just needed a reset. It works fine now
