The Pioneer DMH-W2770NEX has wireless Apple CarPlay. There is a one time setup process to connect your phone to the in-dash receiver. It's very easy to connect your phone to the in-dash receiver for Apple CarPlay the first time. After the first time setup, when you start your vehicle, the phone and the receiver should automatically find one another and connect. Super easy. You can see this demonstrated in this How To video from Pioneer on YouTube: https://youtu.be/EO9U5vJ-NpY Other Pioneer receivers work with Apple CarPlay with a wired connection through USB. A USB extension cable is included with the in-dash receiver. That means you'll plug your phone in to the in-dash receiver through USB and you'll get Apple CarPlay. The benefit to using wired CarPlay is that you'll charge your phone when it's plugged in.
