• Bluetooth is connected wireless and without any cords. For apple car play or android auto you need to have your phone plugged into the USB port with the corresponding cable.

• It connects with Bluetooth but is not TRUE Wireless Carplay. True carplay is the software running on your head unit when plugged in. Those units are in the higher price range ($500-$900) you are looking for : Smartphone Connectivity: Apple CarPlay via wireless or USB wired connection
