It will fit in any car or suv truck. Just some Modifying may be required sanding or cutting to get to screen to fit in the plastic I had to cut part or the medal bracket and shave part of the - because it won it till it was rubbing started to get 8th of inch down

The issues you may have with a newer car are probably due to two things: (1) the proprietary software used to run most newer cars; and (2) the amount of integration of the proprietary head units with the vehicle’s system controls. I have a 2013 Ford Edge and am facing the same problem: I can’t upgrade to a Car Play or Android Auto unit.
