No it has to be plugged in. They do make a wireless one but i think it's a lot more $. not a big deal

This gives you access to navigation through the Pioneer screen as well as text message and other features. You can still stream music via bluetooth to the deck, with control of your phone as an iPod on the screen as well as make/answer calls via Bluetooth, but without being connected via USB you won't be in CarPlay mode.
