NOT from what I understand. Have to hook up phone for blue tooth to connect to maps. That is what I understood.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The unit needs your phone for gps navigation. It does not have built in navigation. Pioneer does make an addon navigation box, AVIC-U280, you can get if using your phone doesn't work for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't give you a direct answer, but I think I can help. I bought the avh-2300nex not the avh-2330nex, but I believe the functionality is the same. The difference is that the avh-2330nex has a Sirius tuner built in. On my unit the avh-2300nex, there is NO built in GPS. You connect your smart phone (smart phone needs a support app installed) and THEN the receive takes advantage of your in-phone GPS system and uses that to show on the receiver seen. The app for the android is called android auto. I forget the app for the iPhone, is something like icar or such. I hope that helps.
