• Works fine with DVDs. If you have a high power USB connector it works with just onet, but if not here's a second USB connector that can be used for additional power. I was able to use it with just one USB connection.

• yes it plays regular dvds & cds as well & no it just comes with a dual usb connector but you just need to use the usb 3.0

• It will play both as long as you have the software. As to cables, it will use one if you have a USB 3.0 port to plug it into. If you only have USB 2.0 you may need two depending on the power available.
