I had another Pioneer 5.1 channel and had wished I had gotten the Pioneer 7.2 channel. It has many options that you have to explore to become familiar with the unit. I personly do not use the Ethernet port.

Yes. Has 1 Ethernet port and is wireless also. I used wireless for a firmware update with no issues at all.
