I have my receiver inside a cabinet with the back side open. I have an AC Infinity T8 (rear exhaust) sitting on my pioneer sc lx904. I also have 2 AC Infinity Airplate S5's installed in the side of the cabinet for more airflow. The temp on the receiver usually runs in between 82 and 89 degrees. You are definitely going to want to create as much air flow as possible.
