I have my 305 setup that way. 5.1 in Living Room, 2 speakers in spare room, 2 speaker on Deck. You can actually have a different source playing in each zone, say TV in Zone 1, Tuner in Zone 2, and Pandora in Zone 3. There are some restrictions on this. The 305 sounds great.
