Is it a class D amp ? null

Definitely a Class D. Also you can have it on all day and it will not get too hot like the ClassA/B receivers. But definitely a Class A/B is cooler than a Class A amplifier. The recent Class D amplifier components have gotten much better so it will sound better than a Class A/B amplifier. A high end Class D amplifier is getting closer to a high end Class A amplifier.
