The lower the ohms of your speakers, the more power the receiver will create for the speaker. Think of ohms as resistance. The less resistance the speakers create the easier it is for the amp to send power.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an older similar amp, the SC-67, and I have put an upper (above screen) and lower (below screen) speakers L-C-R, all 8 ohm, for a total of 4 ohm per channel and it’s worked fine for many years.
