There is a 10 amp fuse on the back of the stereo, behind the power plug. If the fuse is blown, it would not be causing the battery to drain. The radio would not be pulling any current. I would suggest having the installer check the connections. The yellow wire should be connected to a constant 12 volt source. It pulls very little current to retain the memory. The red wire should only have 12 volts on it when the key is in the on position. When the key is off, there should be no voltage.
