They are water resistant. I sweat a lot when I work out and it hasn't bothered them. You can't go swimming with them.

Not sure if they are water proof, maybe water resistant. However, I would say that they are sweat proof. I use them in the gym, paddle boarding, mowing my lawn... issues.

Yes, I have dropped them in the rain and they work perfectly afterwords. Although I doubt they can handle really deep water.

I know they are sweat proof because my husband uses his while mowing the yard and when he is done he is dripping with sweat. And they still work. As far as water proof if you are talking about putting them in the water I probably wouldn't try that.
