“Does this allow the left earbud to play in stereo? Not using the right. I need one for my son who is deaf in his right ear. Many earbuds do not seem to give him the full experience in the left ear. THANKS.”

Hello! You can use the left ear bud with no problems but stereo sound itself is made with two earbuds. If the whole sound is concentrated in one ear bud it can't be stereo.
