The brand of lens doesn't matter as long as the mm match. That said this ND filter is not strong enough to use for the solar eclipse. Using it could damage your sensor. You need something that will stop at least 16 full stops of light.

Please try again later.I was told by Ben the Nikon Expert at the Kennesaw, GA Best Buy that yes this will work for the solar eclipse , however you will need 3 of them in order to protect your camera correctly as well as be able to capture it correctly. I am using them on my Nikon P900 as well.
