Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First off I believe you are referring to the SOLAR Eclipse later this month. The answer to your question is ABSOLUTELY NOT! Using this lens filter is not appropriate to photographing even a partial solar eclipse. You need a highly specialized lens filter to photograph a solar eclipse. Using only a CP filter will likely ruin your camera's sensor and you stand a good chance of irreparable damage to your eye's retina. Be content with photographing the reactions of those around you during the event.
