A:AnswerI legitimately just purchased this from Best buy.. unfortunately it is not compatible with the switch. I believe it has the wrong chipset but I cannot confirm this.. I do however know that it doesn't work.
A:AnswerYou could try it. Take it back if it does not work. WHY? It will be based on the Manufacture of the TV allowing the USB port to handle Ethernet.. I repeat. The maker of the TV has or has not programmed the USB port to accept the Ethernet connection on that port. I bought an Audio Streamer that only had a USB connection. This Ethernet Adapter worked great. It is a full-time connection to a corporate network and it has been running good for weeks. Have bought two.
A:AnswerI will work when just plugging it into a usb port with windows 10 and windows 11

A:AnswerI tried to update my dell inspiron to gigabit with this adapter.(Dell only has 10/100 adapter). It converted my USB-3 port to 10/100 ethernet. Peripherals connected to my computer didn’t recognize it as Gigabit
A:AnswerIt converted my USB-3 port to 10/100 ethernet. USB-2 cannot handle gigabit speeds. Technically you would need USB-3 but even that didn’t give me Gigabit capability on my Dell Inspiron

A:AnswerSimple answer to avoid running a bunch of wires; Buy a "mesh router" like the Eero where you can purchase multiple hubs vs. beacons. A hub acts like a router with the ethernet ports on the back, where a beacon is only a repeater. I use the Eero system and am able to "hard wire" my laptop from a wireless hub as it has the ports on the back to connect to.
