- Answer This USB adapter should work well for any charging cord that requires a Type C connection (“male”) at the opposite end of the device’s cord. In your case, having this adapter (or similar) installed at the USB-A end of the charging cord will then allow you to plug into a USB-C opening/outlet - on your iPad/tablet, laptop, desktop - in order to charge your iPhone off of that device’s power supply, which is more than sufficient for 30W. I often use a similar adapter for the same type of charging.

- Answer USB 2 and USB 3 slots are exactly the same, as far as connectivity. Their specs differ, however, so the best you would get with connecting A USB 2 to USB 3 is slowing down the USB 2 part and possibly delivering more power. However, this adapter is for none of these purposes, as it is an adapter to/from USB C..

- Answer Yes. That adapter is suitable for fast video transfers. Just remember that the cable and devices you are connected to are likely slower if its an older device or cable and your transfer speeds are only as fast as your slowest component!

- Answer If your computer supports it. What kind of power supply do you have? 450, 550, 650W? Everything we connect to it uses power from the given grid. So if you want this to work, get a good power source installed with higher W and it is more likely to work. USB-C consumes power so of course on a low end power source, the answer is a firm no.

- Answer No, this adapter won't allow you to charge your laptop. Use the Apple original charger to charge your MacBook.
