Hi Debbie. I have both a PS4 and PS4 Pro The difference between the PS4 Pro and Slim are as follows The Pro has a better graphical fidelity. Games can either look better or run smoother than on the Slim. PS4 pro can run games at 4K but they might really be 4K. But it can run movies in 4K via Netflix and other video apps that offer 4K. That's something the Slim can't do. Unfortunately the Pro won't read Ultra HD movie discs the 4K movies you see in black boxes. The new Xbox One Slim does and so will the Scorpio. If you're interested in VR the PS4 Pro was built with PlayStation VR in mind. As for the Slim a little more info. It actually lacks the optical audio out port that the original PS4 and the Pro have. This is rather unfortunate as many older home theaters used this for 5.1 audio but more importantly a lot of gaming Headsets used it also for surround sound. I have a $300 Astro A50 that I use on my PS4 if I had the PS4 Slim I wouldn't be able to use it. It works fine on my original PS4 and PS4 pro.

It has better memory, larger hard drive space for storage of movies, games, music and etc, and it also has new graphics processer to handle 4k streaming and some 4k gaming. The PS4 Slim is the original PS4 but is just in a smaller form factor.
